The culinary offering of the restaurant had been available exclusively to hotel guests for years. Hubertus Real (son of the hotel founders Jutta and Emil Real) then opened the doors to casual guests in 1997, thus giving the house a new, young dynamic and further increasing the always high-quality standards for hotel business and gastronomy.

The list of celebrities visiting the Park Hotel Sonnenhof is long. It begins in the early 1970s, when Emil Real, together with his brother Felix, was responsible for the catering for the guests of the Shah, on the occasion of the 2500th anniversary of the founding of the Persian Empire. To this day, representatives of culture, politics, business and sports appreciate the discreet and courteous service of the house – from Maximilian Schell, HP Kerkeling and Lang Lang, to Paulo Coelho, the Swedish royal family, the Princely House of Monaco, German presidents, former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Theo Waigl and Joshka Fischer to Sebastian Vettel, Wladimir Klitschko, José Morinho and many more.
